Health: Under Mission Indradhanush campaign, regular vaccination is being done to protect children from diphtheria,whooping cough, hepatitis B

By running a campaign in all the health centers, Anganwadi centers as well as session sites of the district, health workers are providing regular vaccination to children aged 0-5 years to keep them safe from diseases like diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis B. Regarding vaccination, Civil Surgeon of the district, Dr. Shrikant Dubey said that regular vaccination on time is necessary to increase the healthy body and immunity of the child. DIO Awadhesh Singh said that children are being vaccinated to protect them from serious diseases like diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis B, tetanus, polio, TB and measles.

Arrangement of regular vaccination at Anganwadi centres:

 

Regular vaccination is being done in Anganwadi number 126 of Bettiah, Sikta, Ramnagar, Yogapatti, Dhannauji of Gaunaha, Nautan with the help of ANM, Asha and Anganwadi workers. During this period, BCG, OPV, Pentavalent, Rota Vaccine, IPV, Measles, Vitamin A, DPT Booster Dose, Measles Booster Dose and Booster OPV vaccines are being given to children aged between zero and two years. The DIO said that the aim of regular vaccination is to reduce infant mortality rate. He informed that as per the scheduled date, regular vaccination campaign is conducted by trained nurses at various Anganwadi centers of the district. Which is completely free. At the same time, inspection of vaccination sites is also done by the departmental team. Children are also vaccinated by the government through the Mission Indradhanush campaign. Under the Mission Indradhanush campaign, pregnant women who were deprived of regular vaccination were given TD-1, TD-2 and booster TD vaccines. By running a campaign in 1469 sessions, 12562 children and 2937 pregnant women of the district were targeted for vaccination.

 

Vaccination is necessary for protection:

 

The Civil Surgeon said that vaccination is very important to protect children from various types of deadly diseases. This must be done. Children are being vaccinated by creating awareness and spreading awareness in all the blocks of the district.
