The government is making continuous efforts to make the country TB free like polio and for this, campaigns are being run from time to time to identify people suffering from TB and efforts are being made to deal with this disease and eliminate it. Here in Rohtas district too, continuous efforts are being made by the District Tuberculosis Department to eradicate TB and TB patients are being searched and treated in different blocks of the district so that the disease does not spread to other people through the said TB patient. .
People suffering from TB are being informed about the symptoms and consequences of this dangerous disease and are being motivated to protect themselves as well as the common people from this disease. There are more than 1500 patients suffering from TB in Rohtas district whose treatment is going on in Sadar Hospital. During the same investigation, more than 150 patients are being found every month. In such a situation, a challenge has arisen for the TB eradication department in Rohtas district. In such a situation, Rohtas District Laxman Department is identifying TB infected patients at various levels and providing them proper treatment. Besides, data of TB patients being treated there is being collected by contacting private hospitals so that the correct data of TB infected patients in the district can be available and other people associated with them can also be saved.
The disease is increasing due to contact with TB patients
TB is an infectious disease that spreads to other people through air. Giving this information, CDO cum District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar said that TB is a dangerous infectious disease which spreads very quickly from one person to another. He told that when a person suffering from TB spits, the bacteria present in it reaches other people through the air. Also, when TB patients cough, there is a high possibility of bacteria entering the people present there. In such a situation, TB patients are constantly advised not to spit anywhere and use a handkerchief over their mouth while coughing.
Everyone’s participation is necessary in eradicating TB
Dr. Rakesh Kumar said that along with the Central Government, the District Health Committee is continuously making efforts to eradicate TB, but the participation of common people is also necessary to free the districts from this serious disease. He said that any major disease or epidemic can be easily conquered if there is cooperation from the common people in eradicating it. Doctor Rakesh Kumar said that TB is a serious disease, hence we all need to fight it together. He said that participation of common people has started in Rohtas district to fight this disease and people from all sections of the society and all areas are coming forward. He told that while the government is giving Rs 500 per month as nutritious food to TB patients, now common people are also coming forward on the request of the government and adopting TB patients and providing them nutritious food every month. So that the patient suffering from TB can be made capable of fighting this disease and our district and society can be made TB free.
